Laguna Beach CA senior Hannah Konkel and sophomore Jessie Rose placed first and third in the 5-kilometer girls varsity small school race at the 37th Rough Rider Invitational at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif. Konkel clocked 19:00.3 and Rose ran 19:19.4 for Laguna Beach, which prevailed by a 46-72 margin over Menlo CA.
